This beautiful and large amphora is a sea find. The evidence are the numerous seashells and other sea incrustations on the body. It is full of grown and dried moos on the shoulders as a result of the long years of abidance in an English garden. The dried moos reflects a pleasant golden light The amphora stands on an old English custom-made forged iron tripod stand.
Amphorae are a type of fired earthenware containers with a pointed bottom to fit into a sandbox keeping them safe when leaning against each other during storage or transportation. They were used for liquid commodities like wine, oil, etc. Nowadays they are very popular decorative objects.

Condition: Intact.
