An unusual, highly decorative and well-preserved vessel, alternately known as a Nestoris or Trozella. The shape is extraordinary, with elegant body flaring upwards from a delineated foot, but the most exciting aspect of the potting is the handles which project from the shoulder and decline in steep angles to join the rim and further embellished with rosette medallions. The decoration is a whimsical mixture of floral and geometric, all emphasizing different parts of the vessel: at the shoulder, a vine motif in dilute glaze, a wavy line separates the shoulder from neck which is dominated by checkerboard chevron motif. Those glorious handles feature single ivy leaves framed by diagonal and horizontal lines.
