A Canaanite Scarab

The underside is engraved with a kneeling falcon-headed figure holding a flower, flanked by two cobras – a typical Middle Bronze Age Canaanite motif dating between ca. 1650-1500 BC.

Condition: very good, as illustrated.

Provenance: Formerly priv. coll. of Ambassador G. P. before 1965.
