A precious Western Asiatic, possibly Bactrian, bronze kohl vessel in form of a recumbent ram. 2nd millennium BC. Kohl vessels were cosmetic bottles and were fitted with an applicator in the form of a medical probe. Our applicator was broken and firmly, through mineralization of the metal, shuts the orifice on top of the rams back.
