A Roman white marble slab of an architectural frieze adorned with a sculpted ribbon that usually accompanies the egg and dart ornamentation.
An ideal piece for immurement to decorate any part of an interior space and give it elegance and a breeze of antiquity.
Condition: Very good for a portion of a frieze of that kind.
Provenance: ex reputable jewelry shop located in Zurich. This frieze was used to decorate horizontally the wall above a door. In the jeweler’s possession since the late 70’s/early 80’s
