Marble Eastern Greek, Archaic Period, ca. 600 BC Ø: 17,7cm. A rare white marble circular oil lamp with an open oil-chamber divided into three compartments and a central omphalos. Three semi-circular nozzles project from each compartment bridging over the wick rests. The underneath is flat with a central hole for support Cf. for an identical piece in the British Museum, Inv. Nr. 1907.1201.812.
Condition: One nozzle damage, otherwise very good with a nice patina.
